I work all winter with it , luxury maybe but it makes a hard job easier.
As for cracking glass i have never done this but i don't have it running really hot i have warm water so that i can carry on working .It really is a case of trying and believing how much easier to work with hot(warm) is in the winter .
Note i say to( work with) not it does a better job as i can't say it does. But if you are warm you work quicker , umm i do anyway.
Gas 11kg last about 3 wks £18.00 i can live with that .
On gutters i turn the heat up and it does make a lovely job of them. And with that warm water running down your arms , you still get wet and cold lol

although you havent sold it to me completly i think i will try it out, like you say unless you actually try it then youll never reallly know.. not so much for the freezing side of things but as you say make a hard job easier and i to would use it more on upvc cleaning and one offs and the schools i do twice a year i suppose its another tool and option in the van really just use it when needed.
