You can have an ionics fitted system for a fraction of the cost.

www.pure2o.co.uk

You don't get the fancy filter but the're expesive to run. You get a standard one. Its the same warehouse as ionics. You just don't get to use the logo and it's thousands cheaper.

If you really want crash testing AND don't want ripping off get a pure20 badged ionics from ionics.

Simples.

I have a dangerous ratchet strapped diy which I hope to replace with a pure freedom.

Hey, there just over a grand more than purefreedom.

So 1k buys you the crash test. Not too bad I guess.

ionics crash tested a 1000l system at 30mph, now if im going faster than that i would still rather have that than one that isnt, also the tank goes down during the day and so does the danger.

there finace pakages are very good to, nice new van top of the range system and no problems, thats the way I like it.

At the moment I also have through them a renault master with 1000l 2 man set up, speedliner floor, great sign writting, the works. cost me £500 a month over 5 years wich is nothing to the 8k a month its turning over, and it can easily carry all the other kits, jet wash, gutter vac and so on, it really is the daddy of wfp vehicles and systems.

as with most things in life there is always something cheaper, but thats not always the way to do it, at the end of the day, its the tool you earn your living with, it can never be too good. I would rather have a new vehicle with a safe system, simple.

The only issue I would have with Ionics about this stuff is that they tend to use Trafics as the next one down from the Master.  As we both know, the gearboxes can be a big issue and they can get expensive to run as the mileage climbs.  It would help a bit if they did Transits or the Hiace IMO.

I crash tested my Omnipole system a few weeks ago by reversing into a mini skip.
The tank didn't budge.

I had a DIY strapped layflat 650 in my last van and was fairly confident it was safe. I now have a 650 upright - no way would I DIY that - the centre of gavity is so much higher. Now got the Purefreedom installation and very happy with that.

I would love to talk on a thread one day and it not to end up as a conversation about my income!!!!! the point I was making was that given the monthly turnover a van can generate a few hundred a month is easily outweighed.

I would like to point out that when I started it was also winter and I started my business for £200 in a January and worked trad up a ladder for nearly 2 years untill I had a full round, I then got my first van and had the work in place to pay for it. I then got through 5 days work in 3 days and so was able to take on more business and so on. I really think that going straight to wfp without any customers is a bad financial move, unless you have the money to spend of course. I think its also good to learn trad methods and the correct way to use a ladder and so on.

Lee it was only mentioned in passing (but by yourself  ;D if you didnt want it uttered why did you tell us your vans do 8K a month?) anyway everyone else had forgotten about it. And you're the one who informed us all you were going to advertise on televison, we all look up to you now as you're the one who sets the bar for others to aim for  ;)

Methinks you like to be big fishy. Me also thinks you like everyone to think it too  ;D

Then dont mention your income, it comes across that you have a massive ego and like to slip in how much you earn, if you dont mention it then the thread wont end up in a conversation about how much you earn!!!!!

Matt, bite me! you know you love me really.

I have never mentioned my income, only turnover, in fact I have never actually said what that is either. turnover and income are not the same BTW  ;D

To be honest I dont care what people think, it seems that if you have anything from Ionic that people say your wasting money, or you must have money to burn and stuff like that, fact is there a good company. We may get another van next year and I would go for a 2 or 3 year old long wheelbase trafic, and have a look at gardiners systems. Alot of people rate pure freedom, so I would give them a call to, as I try to keep an open mind.

Course I love you s'only a bit of jesting  ;D

How many vans have you got btw Lee. On your site it I see 4 lined up, but I reckon thats just an image your web-designer has put together. In other pics you only have one van and all the bods you employ look like the same bod in each picture, so from that I deduce one van.

Which is it Lee? 1, 4 or some other number?

 ;)

Its not 1 and its not 4......... If I told you it would only spoil your fun!  ;)  That web site is 3 years old anyway and is on the list of things to update and renew, I think its a bit crap actually. But all the spare money is going on my new project so it will have to wait.

Sorry for going off the main topic

And don't forget the very expensive (about 95 pound?) colour change DI filter that needs changing more often than it should be.

The main benefit of an Ionic System is, that in my opinion, they fit it extremely well, compared to some of the others (like Facelift) that I have seen. Other than fitting, they are definately no better than many others out there.

From what I read on Brodex - their service after you have bought is virtually non existent :-\

By the look of purefreedom, you will quickly understand all of the parts associated with it, you can buy spares from many internet sites if needed, so you won't be stuck for long if your system fails, as you will easily locate, recieve and replace YOURSELF most components overnite at the latest.

If its a must to have crash testing get one of those.

If any one has had a crash in a untested system tell us on here

I was told that Pure Freedom has had two WFP systems in crashes and lived to tell the tail
one hit a skip head on at 30mph
and another this year was hit and the van did a 360 in the middle if the road

if any other wfp people on here has had any systems in crashes tell us
