Im gonna make 35 of them buckets and haul them in the van, cos I reckon one of them buckets will maybe do one bay window.

Hey, that's my bucket!  ;D

Built it specifically for getting through some tight alleyways, etc. Used a trolley before, but it was a pain in the bum to get into tight places.  :o  ;D

The bucket holds more than the backpack did - I can squeeze nearly 25 litres into it. It is also easier to fill. I just pick it up and go anywhere I want with it. Would I want to work all day with it? No, but it does its job well.

For those who like it, and have a use for it, then give it a go. I wouldn't be without it now.

For those who don't like it, I don't care!  :-*  ;D

i recon you could get a trolly and put a plastic dustbin on it and make up a big version to it, im going to have a go this week, ill update everyone  ;D ;D ;D.
i think you can do it for about 30 quid

i have 3 backpacks and a van system pal
although i'm new to this surly buying a backpack would be easier and look more professional. surly if you want to be taken seriously £100-£200 is nothing?

as for a dustbin on sack a barrow. wheelie bin? but it would look ridicules would you employ someone who turned up with a bin? i know i wouldn't

i think if you read my post again PAL you will see that i was not knocking backpacks or diy systems.

but a dustbin on a sack barrow with a car window washer pump????.
tell you what make it a metal bucket and you could light a fire underneath and have a hot wash system ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

No probaby wouldnt be the best for all day, but who said he was using it all day long day in day out?

I see it as those awkward to get to windows, out of reach or the one window you forgot round back...just grab the bucket

And when needed for trad just wip lid off

Im really impressed, great idea. Im sure they do those buckets on wheels anyway  ;)

Ideal bit of kit for those odd awkward windows that are difficult to get to, I don't think it’s been built to do a housing estate with and it’s nice to see people coming up with new ideas. Well done Ian.  ;)

No Lewis, I moved up to the eleccy powered golf trolley which I wouldnt be without.  I made the eleccy bucket for going through houses without rear access and at that time there wasnt an alternative, I found that if you put a basic pump and 7amp battery on the lid that it became top heavy with only a little water, so I built a small box under the bucket to stop it twisting upside down  :D but you could also fix the handle upright.

I reckon one of those remote controlled big boys toy cars could be fitted underneath and with a top speed of 60mph would be the fastest eleccy bucket anywhere, would need 4x4 for the snow though  ;D ;D ;D

I knocked this one together ages ago, it does the same job as the big one, and the flow is controlled with a 12 volt motor speed controller.

ever since i joined this forum all i see if ppl putting other ppl down and showing disrespect to others ideas, theres a few ppl on here who are really helpfull but a minority aint. if you dont like an idea just say so and dont keep going on and on about it. i think its a good idea to start out with til money comes in and it shows a persons willing to show his creativity side and not show off with a 6000 quid system that does the same job. custys dont care about wot equipment u have, they just want clean windows end of the day.  ;D rant over ;D

The wheelchair user was Jeff Brimble. (Though I think it was probably tongue-in-cheek.) The guy is very good at trying new ideas out and using things that pass others by. I think it was Jeff who thought up the idea of using fishing poles for wfp. We NEED people like him, otherwise we would still be using a chamois to clean windows.
