Just say hello I'm currently expanding my window cleaning business in this area would you like a free no obligation quote to have your windows cleaned on a regular basis or something along those lines and then sell yourself ie, I clean all frames etc etc, what ever you do don't just knock and try to undercut people this won't  do you or anyone any good but take note of what dazmond said as thats what you need to do cleaning windows is easy getting the customers and compacting your round is the hard part. good luck and stay focused

just say "ive been going a while" ,

 Being honest,its tough out there right now , but not so tough theres no windows left. you will need every ounce of charm to get the work tho ,to get a toehold . no customer will put up with a shabby job  either, so be sure you dont rush in the early days. if you have to do a window 5 times to be sure your happy with it-so be it .
       besides,  the longer you take ,the more other folk on the same street will see you in action.they might not see you the first visit,nor the second ,but in time they will .

I would take this advice on board because when your starting out you do have more time to get the job right and the more time you spend in the street,folk do watch and if they see you doing a good job they will ask you and slowly youll get a couple in the same street then 4 and it snowballs.

quality not quantity wont pay the bills!!!!

i have no problem knocking on doors but hate wasteing time when people arnt home so i have i leaflet with pricing boxes on the back for when people are not home, they work a treat and give you the option to price windows/soffitts/gutters etc without feeling pressured or that your inconveniancing people when ther trying to feed the kids etc. if you would like a sample send me your postal addres and i will forward some on, there about £150 For 5000 printed on gloss finish card and look the business, i made the cost of them back in the first few weeks of using them and even got a 6 monthly window/pressure cleaning job worth £300 a time from them. anyhows upto you mate but like people say it wont fall on your lap. ;

And please forget the 2 weekly cleans for the same money!!!!!!!! ::) ::)
