trad top tip -protect your system
« on: November 15, 2010, 08:09:59 pm »
attention all tradders are you getting paranoid with all the vans getting nicked, do you think your 12 year old corsa could be next. while out working simply protect your car by getting  50 metres of rope  and tie one end to the bottom rung of your ladder and the other end to the rear bumper , if some thieving scumbag drives off in you car you will be the first to know . ;)                                                                                                            remember a vigilant tradder is a happy tradder  ;) ;)

Barry, you p1llock!
I followed your tip today and someone still nicked my car. I heard it being driven off, but they had gone before I could do anything and all I was left with was my rear bumper and the rope.
I tied it so tightly too, that I had to work the rest of the day with my bumper still tied to my ladder.

yeh forgot to mention griff , thats happened quite a bit round ar way . its not a fully tried and tested tip . needs a bit of tweeking . but still take the bumper to the scrappers and see if they can match it to a car. ;D
