I just wondered what most people do when they get to the end of the lease. Ionics would obviously like you to start again. Van is worth what? Six grand? at a guess maybe a bit more?
You said never again, is that because you think it's too much money or would you do things differently?

I didn't buy mine from Ionics.  I, too, have just finished paying for my van and system.  However, as it's a Trafic coming up to 90k, I will just try to set aside the saved money for repairs.  Originally I set my sights on a brand new van once this one was paid for.  However, I've decided to try to reduce my other  debts for a couple of years and see where that takes me.  Hopefully I won't need too much of the money I save for repairs and will have a healthy deposit for an upgrade in a couple of years or so.

Although I'm only trad I'm interested in the drying time of warm/ hot water after doing wfp compared to using cold water wfp. I done an experiment yesterday where i wet my kitchen windows using the garden hose. The windows took just over 50 mins to dry. Does warm/ hot dry more quickly?

Hot water dries more quickly. It's a complex thing to explain and involves lots of science babble. I can't explain it, but it's explained very well on the net.

The reason I asked is because I read loads of threads on here were wfp users say that it's takes hours for the windows to dry? ???

dave lol omfg £28000 and £3000 on a cc machine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o ;D ;D

HAPPY DAYS NOW  :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

At least your still going. There are alot of people out there that take on these leases thinking the van will do all the business building for them, then you see them advertised on ebay and the like because they cant/wont make a go of it.
So well done, and heres to another HOT 5 years!

You are joking?  ;D
Surely you've at least had the cambelt changed - or are you including that as part of a major service?

the only reason im not getting another van are .......firstly the ionic system is made from stainless steele and will last a life time and is in a cage so it will transfer to any van as and when but after paying £618.00 a month for somthing you could build yourself . so i will save this money for a deposit on a newer not new van in a year or sos time or just get the full value from it and keep it , afterall theres nothing wrong with it ......yet lol ::) ::)

I agree. I've been working for over 2 years now with my homemade system and it's been fine. I think I spend £1500 on it or something, but I paid that at once and never had to pay off anything.

five years of paying Ionics is now over thank god , never ever again and the carpet machine too finished
ill be so much better off i might have a holiday . having said that i would not be where we are today without it
hot water is the dogs  ;D ;D never would we use cold it really thats too long i know the difference when my heater
packed up a few times because it needed new parts , we lost a bit of time ,poss 2 houses a day less !! times that by 5
and well you can work it out for yourself that if you got a heater its cheaper in the long haul and so much nicer on cold
days like today . i could of built my own system and should off what i was paying a month would nearly buy a diy job doh ??? ??? ??? ::) ::) ::)
but the jobs that make the big money for me are con roofs and gutters hot water justs cuts though the muck

bytheway if anyone is interested in a tip we got some tfr from a local motorcycle shop its called BLAST and it removes
anything and i mean anything fly dirt spiders anything in fact ive tryed all sorts of the years but this is the daddy of all
cleaners
You sound to me like you've been drinking.Whats good Ionics hot water sytyems, TFR or the fact you no longer have finance? I'm confused!
