Are they suitable for every day use, or are they a bit to long and heavy?

They are not heavy at all. I would say if anything they are too good for everyday use. I an going to get a short universal pole to take the day to day spanking and save the CLX for best.

Would you take your ferrari to the supermarket?

They are an ok pole nothing special I have the clx 27 and don't rate it at all it's to wippy,as for Ferrari that would b the slx which is in a completly differant league.that's why the clx 27 is only £150 u get wat u pay for

Think I will use it for everyday use, after all it didn't cost much.

I have the 18' and 27'. The 18' is my main pole with the 27 coming off the van 2 or 3 times a day. It is too whippy but great for occasional use, if you can get both.

It's is a ok mid range pole that's it nothing special it's light enough looks good it's just very very wippy at full extend,I bought mine as a bk up pole to my slx so it will stay on van Until needed,

I thought Ferrari was a car! not sure a pole could be compared, even if it is from everyones hero.

I use my CLX 27 for all my work, It's only whippy when fully extended.

They are wippy wit 2 sections extended  compared to the slx and as I said it's a ok everyday pole and for £150 u can't moan

ive got the clx 22ft and its a great light pole for everyday domestics.shorter closed length than the 27ft.

i use it for 80% of wfp work with the hydra 25 ft getting used on a few commercial and bigger properties.

put a supalite on the end to get the full benefit though.


im gonna get a 22 ft slx next though cos ive never had one and would like to compare it to the clx.

Once you ave used a slx you won't won't be messing wit any other pole

Carbon poles are stiffer and lighter in general easier to use

don't waste your money, buy the slx30 and you will never need to use anther pole.
having two poles the same length is a luxury

I have just taken delivery of a CLX-27 and my first impressions are not that good to be fair.  I agree it is far too whippy especially when extended to 3rd floor windows.

I was using a HXTEL (hybrid) 24ft pole which to be honest i rate as a far better everyday pole - if you can get the Varitech  Streamline NTECH version in orange.  Much more expensive but worth it.

When looking at pole specs. on paper the CLX27 weighs about 100g less but static weight is misleading i think as if the pole is more flexy then ultimately it actually equates to moving more weight and requires more strength to use.

YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

I've just taken delivery of my second CLX 27, i got it with the mono trim brush which seems great. Also noticed the yellow hose is more supple and not like the previous stiff stuff.

see this nonsense about people saying if it last 6 mopnths to a year ye got yer moneys worth i'm sorry but that's just wrong. Do you think if a joiner paid 200 for a drill and he was using it most days and it broke he would be happy. i think not

I have a 35 hxtel hybrid too with a 5ft extension added when needed, over two years old now, agree that i think they are more durable poles, recently bought a 27 clx a month ago to bridge the gap between my harris pole and hybrid. The harris poles not been used since, the clx has replaced it. I dont mind the whippiness of it, sometimes it actually helps a little and the clx will prolong the life of my 2+ years old hybrid as I only use it when I need the height. Doubt its going to last as long though, its already quite scratched and scuffed and all the clamps have needed tightening, I do prefer using it though. The clx is very light, I would'nt mind it weighing a bit more if that meant more durability because for the price its a winner ! I just hope it lasts longer than a year
