Took the dog on the beach for an hour, swimming lessons involved chucking a tennis ball in a deep rockpool. When he is at full stretch I nudged him in.

Lucky bugger, where do you live Lawrence?

North cornish coast near redruth. Seen at its best today, everybody looking chilled and happy.

got up 7am coffee/tea/breakfast.felt a bit under the weather but got to my first job at 930am(big country house).gardeners are there with a big trailer so i sack it and start on a big estate of houses that i clean.

3 houses in and i get sacked off a custy ive had for 15 years!she doesnt like the pole and water dripping on her precious walls.i told her fine but im not going back to the ladders! ;D ;D ;D

worked until 5pm then straight home/filled up ready for morning.good day! ;) ;D ;D

ive lost 2 custies in 4 months as a direct result of the pole but picked up quite a few more! ;) ;D ;D

i did not use a ladder today i think for probably the first time ever

apart from one house where i had a blonde moment not finding the gate to the back of a house i havent done before so climbed over then found it on over side of house, then it went back on roof and stayed there

unfortunately got about 8.5 hours of trad tommorow

it gets harder to put up with after days of poling

although as im unused to wfp it makes me feel just as tired at the minute

Not the greatest of days but the only trouble was inside my head (as it so often is).  Felt a bit rough this morning when I woke up with swollen lymph nodes and generally feeling grot.  Finally dragged myself out for some gentle work around midday till about 4.30.  I've just felt pretty damned angry this afternoon about some stuff.  I just hate it when my head won't shut up.  Even if I'm justified in my anger, it doesn't make it any better.  Without going into details the actual focal point of my angry feelings was relatively petty.  It's the themes that lie behind such things though that have the real potence.  i.e. someone else regularly making and breaking promises and the total disregard that the person has for how I feel (no, I'm not referring to relationship issues either).  Knowing the circumstances in which those themes were prominent early in my life explains to me why such things can still feel powerful 40+ years later.  It's amazing how such things can get amplified when not feeling well.
Didn't intend to get involved in psychobabble but anyone who has had to get to know themself will have an idea of the sort of thing I mean.
It's amazing how things come back sometimes. I remember a few years ago my sister sent me over this booklet my primary school had printed for their 100 year anniversary. It praised the school, told how wonderful the teachers were and so on.

I was mercilessly bullied at that school for nearly 8 years. I was so angry and upset at the same time. Once I calmed down I couldn't believe my reaction to a simple booklet. I though I had dealt with all that years ago but obviously hadn't really and still haven’t.
.

The old stuff doesn't run my life these days but, as you say, it's surprising what can trigger off the thought processes on occasion.

Had a good day today ... done a lot of thinking about how to grow my business and made a few decisions,

Change Van ?? .... decided to keep my old van and spend a few hundred on the body and electrics (radio missing ... heater fan not working ..  and fit a hands free parrot so i can use my phone as on 9 points now  :( (ALL North Wales traffic police are lying bar stools)

WFP ?? .... going to fit a diy system from purefreedom instead of getting a bank loan and buying a fitted system

Marketing ?? ... looked into mass mail drop but figures dont add up for me so getting back into the door knocking and splitting my work so clean windows in the morning and spend the afternoons door knocking. Had got out of the habit of door knocking as aquired 2 seperate rounds and took a while to incorpaerate them into my round.

oh and then got an interesting email tonight outta of the blue from a bloke who wants to sell me some work ... if its who I think it is then could be interesting.

Got up at 6.30 this morning had a fAg and put kettle on also had breakfast. Left home at 7.55am and went to clean pub inside as could not get in yesterday and lady came to let me in all she was wearing just a t-shirt and no bottoms she tried to pull t-shirt down trying not to see her partly birthday suit (that was an eye full).

Then went on to a compact street and cleaned to the middle of the street and finished work at 17.00.

What a day nice weather and just a good round day.

Went out at 12 got to first house and found that my digi varistream had switched itself on overnight and drained all my water. Drove to some bungalows which I did trad. Started snowing halfway through but managed to finish row and earn £30 wow!! Got a £10 tip on top though so call it £40.
Went home filled up my tank again from ibc tank. Took everything from van and put into kitchen.
Then got in my car and went for a haircut £5 where I live!! Came home cooked dinner for myself and my son. Washed up. Put up xmas tree and two sets of flashing lights. Waved my son off and here I am sharing my evening with you guys again!!

I wasted it really - made the classical mistake of believing the weather forecast from the night before. Prob started yesterday really when I had an absolutely brilliant day and nothing went wrong and felt a bit knackered so didn't get up til 8.30.

So today I thought I would be rained off but looked out about 9 am and thought "grey, mild but dry lets go and do a bit."

About 9.30 til 11 am I was steaming along and the drizzle started with patchy rain so I decided to go and do a custy who had moved to a new house and give hers a "first clean" but at the regular rate. By noon I'd had 3 posh choccy biscuits and a christmas cake bar with a cuppa at her gaff, got paid and realised I'd left my trip hazard cones ten miles away. Doh!

Rain got heavier and I knocked off with less than a hundred to show for my efforts. Paid in some dosh, collected an aquarium heater for my van tank and the sun came out at about 2.30 but I couldn't be bothered.

Wasted day! With a bit of organisation even with the heavy patch of rain I could have realistically worked for six hours instead of the three I actually did.  ::)
It's a game of three halves!
