Fleas
« on: October 01, 2010, 02:06:55 pm »
Hi All,

Got a call from a customer this morning asking to Clean Carpets and Upholstery and Curtains because they have a flea problem in the house.

I have never had to do any treatment for Fleas or being asked to do it.  Should I walk away or can anyone offer any advice.

Thanks ]

John

If you take the problem home with you you might realise the importance of qualifications to give you the access you need for professional use only insecticides, and the understanding you need on the biology and behavior of the target species.
I am not saying do not do it but you need to be qualified to do it properly, training is available from the B.P.C.A.
There is loads of info on the internet that a lot of our customers waste their money on before in desparation seeking professional advice.
If however you do use pesticides that are available for amateur use and charge money for the service you are required to conform to the legislation that covers professionals.
