i know a windy who only uses rain water then through  DI resin, the water is still dirty and he has lost loads of custys,

all for what? saving a couple of quid a month on a water bill,

I love the idea of harvesting rain water but when i gave it a go i found my water was green! 

but its something i would do again in the future with a little more prep work the next time!

8000 Litres.
We use 2-3000 litres per week.
Saves hundres per year on filters, salt, resin.....
The tap water is 360 on the TDS.
Rain water is 005

Lovely professional setup. This may seem a stupid question, but what stops the water in the top IBC's being lost through the airvents of the lower IBC's?
