I had to laugh
« on: September 14, 2010, 07:34:17 pm »
I made the rookie mistake of not charging my pump so this was completely my fault.

my pump ran out of charge on a 10 house clean so i simply ran a hose directly into my filter and then through into the hose reel.

i cleaned for about 30 minutes and it was fine. great pressure and windows came up fantastic.

only when i went to walk past my van i noticed water running out the back of my van i  ran over and found the hose had split and the back to be under an inch of water, i ran over to the tap to turn it off, only when i returned to the van did i notice the water pouring out of the front too. i looked in through the window to find the cab under a foot of water.

I just sat on the curb and started giggling.

has this happened to anyone else

Is it best to charge your battery every night?

It was the 1st of September of this year, I parked up and got out of my vehicle and talking to a customer before we started work and got paid, as he was going out.

But my son said dad you have water dripping out, so i assume it was the air con dripping so this is what i told my son, then I went to get things out of the vehicle and water came out everywhere the hose that connects to the outlet to the main tank popped off and there was water coming out of the passenger side of the vehicle as well the back doors.

But was glad it was a hot day got my son to clear up as I started to cleaned houses in that street. It never happen before as i have had my system since 2006.

Regular occurance every few months with me!

I stick the transfer hose into the back of my van and it fills by gravity through a 3" pipe and takes about 3 minutes from empty - so I might pop back to the house for my sarnies or whatever.

Anyway if I park a little too far away the hose will sometimes try to pop out of the filling hole. When it does I have about 3" of water in the front footwells peeing out of the bottom of the doors!

Then I syphon it out by sucking on a bit of R/O hose and often get a mouthful of carpet soaked mucky water!
It's a game of three halves!

Happens to me too. But not as often these days as I've drilled a hole underneath van so water can drain into road and not into footwells. Back in my early days of wfp I used to wear a pair of flippers when water came in through footwells. ;D
