cheers for that info. i have been wondering how this employee insurance works. for example in a town i work is a medium size totally legit trad firm, who pay low and are quite often advertizing in the local paper for fresh workers. to my mind this is a hell of a risk, though maybe they keep the new workers doing downstairs only for a few weeks or more .
What about painters & decorators, electricians, roofers, aerial installers etc? Do they also have no insureance?

I know ladders aren't banned,.. I'm just saying if the insurers want to squirm out of paying up, the way is open,..

I pick up a lot of work from them but they aren't bothered as they work on quantity compared to quality, I heard they lost a hundred customers in one week but they were still advertising for new staff, I see an old boy out canvassing daily and they have been going for years so they must be doing something right,
really this making my head hurt
