TELESCOPIC LADDERS
« on: August 25, 2010, 06:56:05 pm »
Hi Guys

I am wfp but am considering ladders for the odd bit of work ie hopping upto to  flat roof to do some window or guttering. I dont do any commercial work that would require a ladder -

my questions are there any wfp guys on here that dont use ladders at all?

is there any reason not to use telescopic ladders? (as these will fit inside my van and save having to mess with the roof rack and minimising risk of them being nicked.

We use telescopic ladders, but only for the odd access job such as flat roofs or gate climbing.

They are a great bit of kit. quick, simple and very effective.

However my advice is buy quality ones, mine were top dollar but worth every penny. I have seen the cheap ones and would not give them van room.

I bought these about two weeks ago and I have to say, I'm a little uneasy with them.  I suppose it's just becoming familiar with them but at the moment, I find myself having to watch my fingers.  I do think you need ladders  even if you are wfp only. ;D
