After finally installing my heater last weekend (its been stood in the shed since january) i have spent the week using hot water about 50c. I have used it on windows facias and a conservatory roof.On the facias and con roof the hot water was definately a big help with a flocked super light brush it easily removed most marks from the facias (just a few rust marks i had to remove by hand), On the con roof the green that usually takes loads of scrubbing did seem to come off alot easier.Cleaning windows that are cleaned regularly with wfp with hot water did not seem to make that much difference apart from them drying much quicker, it was possibly slightly quicker on baked on bird poo but im not convinced it made a great deal of difference. For the full week of work i used approx 15-18 litres of diesel so not cheap but i have not insulated the hot system yet and know i wasted alot of heat energy by heating the air in the back of my van.Im glad i have the option of hot water now but i don't think i will use it all day every day. The biggest benifit i can see to hot is that the windows dry quicker allowing you more peace of mind when walking away from a job. However some windows that usually come up great with cold wfp did not with hot, i believe this to be caused by the bristles being softer and more flexable with the increased temperature and being able to work their way into gaps of the window frames that cold bristles would not reach and therefore disturbing prevously unseen and untouched dirt. Also heard a few creaks which i think seemed to come from the pvc expanding with the heat so was aware of not leaveing the hot water on certain windows for too long.Tomorrow i plan to use cold water to see weather i find myself missing the hot as i can see my only really needing it to heat the tank during cold weather, and to clean first cleans ,facias and con roofs.
does running hot water through a pump damage the pump
I’m not questioning the better cleaning ability of warmer water itself. If you have the dishes to clean warm water and Fairy liquid is better than cold water alone.
