Sebo duo for agitation
« on: August 05, 2010, 09:01:04 pm »
Hi

I've currently got a Host which I use for agitating presprays, does a great job by the way, however I have found in some residential situations it can be a bit awkward, a bit big and clumsey. I just wondered is there anyone on here who has used a sebo duo for residential pre spray agitation and how effective have they found it. Would really like to hear from anyone who has used both and what they  think about the relative performane of both

Kind Regards

I have an envirodri, duo, and pile brush. Duo useful bit of kit in confined / furniture populated areas where mechanical agitation is required.

i started with the duo and thought it was great, then i got the enviro and its 10 times better than the duo. never touched the duo since and doubt i ever will until the enviro breaks, worthy of a back up but thats it. and never had a prob with enviro in confined spaces or on stairs, not sure how heavier the host is to the enviro but the enviro is reasonably light even on stairs.

I started with the Sebo Duo, which I thought was great, then I got an Envirodri, which I thought was a lot better and recently got the Flexi5 which is fabulous. Either way I think any of these machines will take your cleaning up a notch or two and that makes whatever they cost well and truly worth it.

Why is the Flexi 5 "fabulous" and the Envirodry just "a lot better" when compared to the Duo???
Is your Envirodry the 12" and thats why its not rated as good as the Flexi5??

Joe,

The Flexi5 is fabulous because as you know it can be used to dry vac the carpet first in pile lifter mode and then agitate the pre-spray in, making it a much better all round machine in my opinion.
I'm surprised you asked the question as you have a Flexi5 too, don't you? Surely you see its advantages over the Evirodri and Duo?

Sometimes I ask questions knowing the answers but ask for the benefit of others.
Sometimes answers dont give reasons or enough info.

The other advantage over the Envirodri is that with the Flexi 5 you won't invalidate your warranty by using it to agitate pre-sprays.

Ive got a host t6 and a sebo duo. I use the host all the time, it does a better job and also easier to clean than the sebo duo which is a pain in the @rse. I only keep it as a back up.

Colin,
Haven't done any as yet but have tinkered with it on a job the other night. Got a big office block to do soon so will be giving it a serious try. I might see the light myself and end up eating humble pie... Again!!! :'(
