The Rug Doctor
« on: July 20, 2010, 05:35:54 pm »
I am fairly new to carpet cleaning started with a Ninja last year and now using an Airflex turbo but i am a bit peeved with you guys at the moment, i thought that with all your accumulated knowledge and years of experience, not to mention the NCCA and all the manufacturers telling me that they have the best machine, i find it's all complete rubbish ???
I have just been onto the Rugdoctor site and i have now come to the conclusion that i should have got a Rug Doctor, because it says on the Rug Doctor site that

" most people who use the Rug Doctor know they get better results than they would hiring a professional"

I think i will get on to the NCCA an ask them why they did not tell me this, and for you bunch of  :-X using triple vac porties and truckmounts why did i listen to you  :'(

on behalf of all the carpet cleaners on here I deeply apologies  :-[ :-\ :-\

it was not our intention to mislead you and if we have done so then there is only one
 course of action.

I shall retire to the garden and commit ritual suicide in the traditional carpet cleaners way.

I shall take my 12inch wand and insert it into my rectum until it burst through the top of my head,

my dead body will be displayed over the door of the ncca office for all to see.

farwell unfair world :'(

Just done a flat today with the Scorpion, for the only letting agent I do work for.

He said the guy leaving (very recently) the flat had cleaned it himself with a hire machine, can only assume a RD.

Actually it didnt look too bad, but when I looked at the dirty water I pulled out I realised the hire machine had only cleaned the surface.
It now looks better and I am sure the let agent will be pleased as usual.

James

As a fomer Rug Doctor user mine blew up But I could have done with it last night to clean up a load of sick in a hotel with no lift.

Anyway I have always said you get reasonable results compared with other single vac machines

Only problem I found is Customer sees it as hire machine.

Agree with Ian.  Even if RugDoctor brought out a 400psi, triple-vac portable I wouldn't touch it because you walk in to a home with something with a 'Rug Doctor' sticker on (or you mention it on your website) and you'll get laughed out the room........   To most people, RugDoctor = 400 quid cheapo machines for hire.

A guy has started up around my way using a RugDoctor Pro (didn't know they did 'pro'  ::)_ and he's plastered that fact that he uses the 'RugDoctor Pro' all over his website; don't fancy his chances of building up much business.

Umm don't bet on it. I had an interesting phone call today asking to hire a rug doctor ;D
EOT job but we did have a bit of a laugh about it whilst I explained the difference between one of those and one of mine. End of the day still looks like she will go and hire the £35/day machine (from somewhere else) instead of paying me £75 but it did get me thinking about buying a rug ducky just for the purpose of hireing out to those who wants to DIY it.

Had a few enquiries if I hire out machines. I've always said yes. Then gone on to say it comes with a free operator. Customers have been wetting themselves with interest until i tell them the likely "hire costs" ;D

Hi - Would rather not mention it, in case he's on here....  :-X  ... but it has the words 'scrub' and 'rug' in the title and it's up here.... have a Google and see if you can find it....  Oops, if the owner is on here I've probably upset him now...  :'(   ;D
