weird call
« on: August 31, 2005, 04:14:11 pm »
Had a strange call today from a famous ice-cream company. They wanted one of their marquees cleaned..I thought for a moment, and wondered if the called the right kind of cleaning company...I phoned prochem tto see if they had any ideas, and they were just as baffled as me.

Just out of interest, and incase I get a similar call one day...has anyone got any ideas?....surely extraction is not the road to take here.

Bit surprised Prochem are baffled didn’t the sell a couple of TM machines to clean the white elephant in Greenwich or perhaps they have a sort memory!

PW is probably the way to go, then depending on martial water proofing after!

We were once asked to test clean some rapid response aircraft hangers. They were like huge folding canopies used to hide Harrier jump jets in the desert. Covered in aviation exhaust. Tried pressure washing at 3000 psi and even tried soda blasting. Problem is the fabric gives and negates the pressure.

I guess if we did manage to extraction clean it, we'd get sued for de-water proofing it...wonder what the answer is chaps.
Felt like telling them to call service master...theyre always bragging ;D
