Fed up with charging your wfp battery. Look here
« on: May 31, 2010, 01:20:29 pm »
Hi, I have been testing a small device which will keep your van mounted system battery charged and is cheap as chips and so easy to fit.
I have been using a standard 12v van battery (not the expensive deep cycle leisure battery~) to run my system for the last 4 months with one of these fitted and have never had to charge the system battery up manually. (i.e removing it from the van)

The total cost for the kit with the correct wire and fuses works out at around £25
Anyone interested????
I used to have an auto electrical business and still have a few contacts so was thinking of buying a bulk order if there is enough interest??
Let me know and i will keep you all posted.
Thanks
Dave

Isn't that just a split charger?

I have took the time to start this post because I thought with some of the recent posts about batteries and not been able to start your vans on a morning it may be of some help.
Anyone can make a bodged up split charging system or just run a cable from your van or car battery.
This is just a SAFE and easy way to sort the problem out.
Fit and forget your battery problems!! ;)

thats ok running a basic power wire from main wire but remeber it will be running off both which may mean both batteris will go dead so split charge is reeally the only safe way of doing it

I'm just in the process of setting up a trailer mounted system, which I was going to power & charge a battery via the additional towing socket (for caravans). so I'd be interested in anythig which would help.
Cheers Dave
