The trap we fall in is thinking we know everything- then we get a blank sheet of paper and do it better.

Of course then there's people like lee just born lucky.Jammy get.

Funny enough slump, I am still learning lol
Certain things that worked in Leicester don't work down here and vice versa.
On the whole I am more aware of mistakes I have made from my round up in Leicester.
The first few months were hard, you just forget how hard it is to build a round.
My round has doubled in size in the past 5 weeks, I am not letting this slide, I am going to push hard and advertise heavily all through the summer.
I have someone lined up to help me out through the summer as I am getting 3-4 phone calls a day since I got back from Portugal (a week last Sunday)
I am getting a lot of gutter cleans and conservatory roof cleans. and I am 2 weeks behind with my window cleaning, I finished at 7 tonight and back out at 8 in the morning.

I have some customers in Marks Tey, Romford, Brentwood, Chelmsford, but mostly around South Woodham and Maldon.
I am covering loads of miles mate, It takes me 45 mins to get to Craigs from my house.

I think for one man with WFP the upper limits of what you can turnover in a month on just windows only is around £ 3000 or so.

I turned over £2900 last month over 18 working days - doing around 6 hours labour a day.  But believe me i was well knackered after that.

I think its about striking a balance between knowing the minimum amount you need to earn per month, and then how much extra labour you are prepared to go to earn more like a sort of bonus to yourself.

I have personally set my limit to £2500 revenue per month now as i do not want to burn myself each month.

haha I wish i was born lucky mate! I agree that if starting from scratch it should be better and easier, we are all learning all the time, but its also easy to make changes along the way, there are so many different ways of doing things.

I always try to work smarter not harder, find something that works well and do more of it.
The best way to predict the future is to create it.

The value of the curry!

Earnings are only limited to what you can charge how much work you have and how many hours a week you work. You could do 60 hours at £50 ph or you could do 20 at £20 so thats £3000 or £400. Many people work for 60 hours a week.

i bet theres not many window cleaners working 60 hour weeks stuart!!! :o :o

i work 30-35 hours "on the glass " on a full 5-6 day week(average 6 hours a day).sometimes 40 hours if im fitting in add on jobs at the end of a working day(conny roofs/fascias/soffits etc).

but of course bad weather and skiving off early/days when i cant get motivated/van problems etc all eat into hours worked.

i always take on new work at the right price and drop the odd one or two bad payers that crop up from time to time.also i put most of my prices up every year in april.(even if its just 50p!).

this all helps with profits.i will be taking the plunge into wfp soon so some of my prices will go up again(for extra windows cleaned, skylights etc).

im hoping after the initial outlay that the extra money made by getting round on time(or more often)coupled with  extra cash from cleaning extra windows will cover the extra overheads so im still making the same money but ill be safer on my average working day.
price higher/work harder!

I doubt there are many turning over £50 every hour they work either. All I mean is that it is like saying how long is a piece of string. Prem footballers and sunday league players do the same thing.
