dont worry about losing work to foreign workers

if you do a good job at a reasonable price you will maintain your work. if you are easy to get on with and popular with your customers they wont drop you to save a couple of quid a month

those the employ them are exploiting them

they work very hard for their money= they are paid less than they are worth

they work long hours at a moments notice and stay on to finish jobs= again being stitched up

they never complain= you can abuse their rights all you like and if they complain you will sack them

cant get british workers to do the same for the money= too right you cant. im highly skilled, motivated, personable , can work under pressure and get the job done to a high standard and on time

you wont employ me as I want more money than you earn and you cant afford me

Brilliant mate, a man with the courage of his convictions.

I would like to add, that my wife speaks fluent English, French and of course Bulgarian. My employee speaks perfect English and Bulgarian.

They can both spell perfectly in English.

But that`s only one word. And not that hard to spell anyway.

Ive read all of this nonsense about foreign workers {Eastern Europeans} being better, working harder than their British counter parts.

What crap, the fact is that they can afford to live here and work on minimum wage because they get additional assistance that we dont , such as subsidised housing, vouchers for food and clothing , assistance with buying motor vehicles plus the other tax benefits.

I've had them drive up when im working and ask "how much" at first naively I would tell them. They drive off and then lo and behold start up. Now I tell em £60 minimum just for a laugh.

As for this Global Economy balancing things out, dont make me laugh. Go and have a look at India, where they do work hard , for mainly big UK, European and US Companies for relative peanuts.

Wake up and smell the Coffee people. This countrys been destroyed by the Labour Govt that the British people voted in in 1997. Can it be restored? Nah doubtfull as it would be unlawfull to do so. Clever little buggers werent they. You get what you deserve.

You notice the guy who put up the "Sun Reader" bit, has now deleted that post, if you were quick enough to read it.

Just for the record I'm not a "Sun Reader" well not for the news anyway, just the sport.

I am the grandson of economic migrants, who were exploited at the time of arrival, but stuck with it, didn't send money back to "the old Country" who totally assimulated , had sons who became Royal Marines, and set up businesses.

They came here when there was a genuine shortage of British Labour, and whilst therefore I can not claim to be 100% Anglo Saxon, if that actually matters, I love our country, and don't like people fiddling it, or exploiting it. IMO it is You who happily  employ these guys on minimum wage, because you say they are better than the British workers , that are the guilty ones, who are the exploitationists who don't give a damn.

Look the simple answer would be to tie the uk to a ship and tow it back to the sub continent where it belongs ;D

If you go around colonising the sh#t out of far off places then you get what you deserve a country populated by your own greed.

The UK is in such a state because of it's leaders not the majority of its workers...perhaps the direction of dissatisfaction is being lost on the wrong people?

Most will make noise, whether in the pub or just in general moaning but for the most part Britons tend to moan, whinge and gripe about it all and then do nothing about it...you have yourselves to blame.

Personally I used to be proud to be English but England does make that increasingly difficult.

I do strongly believe that the UK could be a great nation once again but alas I fear it should be put down like the dying dog it is.

R.I.P U.K

Dave - Happy not being a UK resident.

ps If there were such a thing as a global passport...I'd opt for one of those.

Great nation...sorry meant ok nation....perhaps I meant that it would be able to stand on it's own feet hold it's head high and not be the USA's bitch...

You would have to be blind to think the UK is anything other than very ill...it's the laughing stock of the world still living on past glories.

All the while UK plc continues to be a gravy train for the privilaged few it'll just continue to be yet another mediocre state...I mean even the eurozone countries laugh at it...

Personally the country should be grateful that others come to the country to work.

Whatever happens I'm glad I'm not a resident in the UK...nice for a holiday but lets face it...you're screwed.

when talking about foreign labour remember that when an employer says "they have a good work ethic" what he really means is "they work for peanuts" foreign labour is a euphemism for "cheap labour" and basically that is it.

There is no doubt that mass immigration is fueling poverty in the UK, if we were out of the EU  we would be a wealthier and healthier country.

As for Eastern europeans being good honest grafters, 100's of millions of pounds are being stolen by migrant benefit thieves, a gang of Romanian gypsies have appeared in court in London accused of stealing £3.6million in benefit fraud, there is also a village in Romania which depends on money stolen in benefit fraud in the UK for its survival, money stolen from the UK taxpayer has been used to build 100 houses in the village there is also loads of top of the range cars with UK plates, this is in a place that used to be a donkey and cart economy.

When  you consider the social fall out from all this migration, such as people trafficking, prostitution, crime, one in five murders are committed by foreigners , the costs out weigh the benefits, of course there are a minority of the population who are doing very nicely out of this debacle, So instead of constantly extolling the virtues of unrestricted migration people should get their heads out of the sand and see what is really happening.
