pump/controller problem

hi guys i have been given a pump and controller so gave it a try today. all ok there is a small delay from when i turn on the pole valve to the water coming out say 2 seconds but nothing i cant hadle. i then saw a button on the side of the controller so i pressed it and now it wont work. when i turn on the valve i get a small jet of water for 1 second but the pump wont kick in any ideas.

what controller is it ? what pump is it? can you upload a pic if you dont know the answer..

controller . pump is a 60psi shurflo

the button on the side is it a switch or a button ? I had one if these and mine was a switch (if it is that the problem turn it back on.

you can ajust them by unding the 4 screws and looking inside.

Turn off the dial,

Hold in the side button, at the same time, turn the front dial to about 2/3rds then release both buttons.

This should have now set your internal pressure.

now turn on and rotate the front button to the right speed.

ok did as dave said and got it working but when pressing button in had to turn controller full on then release button and press it again and it worked ok. only problem now is i have a 3 second delay when i turn pole valve on and pump kicking in
