Hi, Just wondered if any dry fusion users have had the heater stop working as mine has stopped and need some advice on repair if it is something that can be done yourself. the thermostat still clicks but no heat to plate .
any help would be appreciated

Hi Ian,

This may sound a bit daft but sometimes the heater plug works it's way loose.

Make sure the vents at the back are clear as I believe there is a thermal cut out which may have kicked in.

if not give Dry Fusion a call. They are always helpful.

an update, I spoke to Dry fusion who said its probably the timer relay and I have got to wait for them to get the part in. they say i should be able to replace it myself, apparentely it is in the grey housing under thermo dial. anyone had this and replaced themselves

You would think as main agents, they would have a few parts instock, looking to buy a dry fusion system, but shocked by how little stock they carry, how many parts are their on a dry fusion rotary ?

Maybe its the cost of holding the parts, its more internal parts that will go ie the heater and thermostat etc that will go and cost a few quid to replace.

Thats why i just use a standard buffers now to do my office and commercial cleans..

Yes I know its the cost, but as main agents you would expect a few i stock, its not going to cost thousands, in my main business, dry cleaning, our agents stock £250,000 of parts and with 20 machines sold per year, I am grateful, if not in stock, airmailed from Italy over night to keep business going, even with this we have 2 dry cleaning machines.
Would not dry fusion take part off new machine ,and replace when part comes into stock

Hi Rob
It does seem odd that a business built around a main product has not got a part in stock, especially when there are so few parts on the machine anyway. And like you say, a business going the extra mile for the customer would strip a machine down so to retain good will of the customer.
Like Clinton says, just get an "ordainary" rotary and relieve yourself of the hassle.

Thing is with Dry Fusion, where else are you going to go for your parts? Short and curlies come to mind.
