Faulty Ionics Battery
« on: April 20, 2010, 08:35:33 am »
I recently purchased a whole Thermopure system from ionics. The heater started to stop working and was told the battery was prob low. Have been charging it regularly. Was told itg might not be holding its charge and to bring it to swindon to check it. Went there 1.5 hours away and day lost, they said it was not holding the charge and replaced it, thought nothing of it untill I received BILL FOR REPLACEMENT!

Rung them up and was told that batteries dont have a warranty! I am refusing to pay.

Even Halfords gives a warranty on batteries.....

Do you agree I'm in the right here??????????????/

All batteries carry a warranty and usualy around 2 years, They can get it replaced from the manufacturer or their own supplier.

Nothing like this surprises me with ironics, There was a chap on here recently who was wrongly charged by them for a new CCTV camera, he got his new camera and his bill, after pluging it in found he had the same problem, We worked together on here and got his system working. Ironics told him his CCTV was faulty,  its plain to see that they take us window cleaners for idiots.

on a serious note, as jeff said, all batteries will have a warranty

they are just mugging you again ;)

they read this forum and if rumours are true ( i dont know ), they have TWO plants currently posting on this forum ( just a rumour i have heard ), so you would like to think when then read this, you will get a phone call explaining its been a horrid mistake and you are really at home in kansas ( oh hang on, thats the wiz of oz ) what i meant was it was a mistake and they sent the bill out by mistake, you will then come back on here and tell us about it and what a great company they are ;)

of course, if they dont do the above, you have every right to be pee'd off

All I will say I made an error in who supplied the CCTV Ststem it was an omnipole system and NOT a Ionics system but I stand by what I said regarding a warranty for batteries. ;)
