Traffic Film Remover
« on: April 12, 2010, 11:26:56 am »
I went to buy some TFR from local Machine Mart yesterday and asked if it was non caustic, the guy serving didn't know. I understand that non caustic should be used for conservatory roofs and guttering. It didn't say anything on the container about being caustic or non caustic. Has anybody used this from Machine Mart or know where to buy non caustic ready mixed from.
Thanks

Caustic can leave stains if allowed to dry in glass and UPVC so only spray a smaller area so you can agitate and rinse off  before it dries.

i  assume caustic may melt or damage polycarbonate roofs or upvc in some way.

it is only left one there for max 5 mins, let that sit and do its work it eats your skin, I have a tub that the car washes use, and it burnt my face and hands using it or my own house. so I would not recommend that at all, ecover smells nice, I did not find it done a good job, it could have been the job, I used homebase pressure washing and caravan cleaner with better effect.
I am trailing a wash that was in tesco for £4.95 5l a tub worked the same as ecover at 1/4 of the price and smelt the same  :-\
