May i ask advice on cleaning sebo duo. Is there an easy way or does it just take a bit of time.
Mines also stops quite alot and you need to shake to get it going again. Is there any remedy or is it just needing a good clean.

take the brushes out and clean mahine and brushes as best you can put the brushes back in put on a bench face up run brushes and use a brush bit messy butworks for me th run on concrete floor to ge rid o any other crap

Derek West (I think) suggested flipping the duo over and vacuum the brushes while it's running with the end of the waste hose after every job.... Works a treat!!!

wouldnt of thought it would do your vacs a lot of good all that fluff

Never accumulates as much as a normal clean, maybe because it's wet!!!!

take brushes out and use a cutlery fork. hard work but result. then sell to someone and get an envirodri.

Same as derek and i always use the hose on the duo to suck the dirt off and then maybe get the hairs etc out with a fork

Have you guys got time on your hands or are just trying to extend the time it takes to clean a carpet.  Most prespays need to be agitated to perform to their best ability and subsequently makes the rinsing process that much easier.  If your serious about the cleaning business get a duo if you must,  but there are CRB machines out there which are more effective

I appreciate what you mean, I have 2 Host machines, but sometimes it is as easy to use a brush, such as in a bedroom, where there is not much space plus you do not hve to lug a bigger piece of kit upstairs. Horses for courses and all that.

So you don't use a carpet brush At all

I use a Duo and will upgrade to a proper agitator when I can afford to... But the carpet brush is great for the £50 single room jobs and does the job perfectly. + it's there for grooming the carpets on completion..... An indespensible bit of kit by any standards!

all these butch strong men using carpet brushes, these guys are what we like to say, "manning up" and then what do they do. slap on a pair of heels and use a girl glide

Mike    The crucial word in your post was 'easy'.  You've got decent CRB machines so you know that even in a bedroom where a fair bit of hair gets entwined in the pile a crb pulls out a great deal more than a brush irrespective of how great your extraction machine is.   So do we compromise by giving our clients a clean which looks fine or do we really give them a deep down clean to the best  that we can?
