I became a windowcleaner because brain surgery was going through a lean patch a few years ago.

Kept reading forums that said windows cleaners earned anywhere between £30,000 and £100,000 a year for a few hours graft a week ;D

Want my own busines and get a kick out of turning minging windows into shiny windows oh and I like canvassing too ... more fun than selling cars which I currently do (not for long though hopefully)

Got the idea after our window cleaner stopped coming.

it first entered my head about 5 years ago. Someone told me how much money you could make  ;D

At the time, i had been made redundant, had no car, and no money to buy a car. So ended up getting a job and the idea faded.

It was only last year that i started thinking about it again, and when i was made redundant again, with nothing to lose, i decided to go for it ;D

One of the best decisions i've ever made. now i have got the freedom & flexibility that only comes with being your own boss ;D

My business failed so I started doing a bit of windowcleaning as a stopgap until something better came up.

That was back in 1987!  Still waiting!!!

Wanted my own business. Didn't like sitting behind a desk after years of being in active roles. Started part time with a few houses I bought from another cleaner, then bought some more to go full time. Very happy now.  :)
