Harpic toilet duck
« on: March 31, 2010, 12:49:53 pm »
Hi Guys.

Had a call this morning from a chap that has spilt some harpic toilet cleaner which is green in colour on his new carpet :o Is this something that will come out and if so what should i be using on it? Not had this kind of job before oh and i should say that he has put washing up liquid on it! Would i be right to think the chances of removing this will be very slim ???

Chances on wool or nylon are slim. Advise he contacts his house contents insurer to make a claim under the accidental damage clause. You can add that you'd be willing to attend, treat the stain accordingly and supply a written report (with photographs) for his insurers.

Polypropylene is much less challenging.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Agree.
Wife spilt some on our en-suite carpet (cream 80/20) tried everything on it, lightened it but no chance of full removal
