Stair and edge hand tool
«

Hi Guys,
I have noticed my hand tool isn't spraying out evenly and seems to have lost pressure
any advice on how to fix this? It seems like it could be blocked perhaps
It's a prochem stair and edge hand tool. I seem to remember something at a course I did a while ago about this problem but can't remember?
Thanks
Rich

My advise,
As you seem to think it may be blocked!! Why dont you try to unblock it ? see if this cures the problem, as the lack of pressure all seems to be an issue here, are you losing pressure with other tools ?
tha chances are you have a small filter behind your jet and this is likely to be blocked up.

Thanks Geoff and yes I have tried to unblock but no joy! No loss of pressure with upholstery tool or wand. Im not a great DIY person so want other thoughts before dismantling and probably busting all together

This seems very strange to me !!
Was their a filter inserted into the housing when you unblocked the jet? or did you just try and unblock the jet externaly? You need to undo the jet, clean and clean filter and anti drip if fitted , flush through whilst jet is off.
The only other reason i can possibly think may be the problem is the connecters, is the male opening the female correctly ? just a thought

Yes have only tried externally so will try the other way. It is still working but is also spraying off at a stupid angle. Will have a go and hopefully that will be sorted
Cheers

The jets blocked. As Geoff says you need to unscrew the jet to clean it. Don't use a needle or pin as you'll open up the hole. Use some fine copper flex. Whilst the jets off give the tool a flush through to clear any crap that may be lurking just ready to block it again. If this re-occurs then you hose may be degrading on the inside.

Coyote7,
May be an idea to clean out your solution tank and check the tank filter also (is it broken?) Won't take much to block your jet's. Good idea to have a spare seal for your hand tool incase you damage/lose the original when taking it apart, slippery little b-----er's if you've got big finger's.
