ANYONE USED THIS PRODUCT?

FENWICKS CARAVAN CLEANER

A friend of mine used this on his caravan a few years back.  It had stood under trees for many months and was in a right mess.  He tells me that this product cleared the green and black algae plus the black runs from the window seals.  Sounds ideal for conservatories.

It's non-caustic and doesn't affect alloy parts like I understand some TFR products do.  Not sure if there are any alloy parts in our pumps but I'm wary of using a product that affects metals.

So...   anyone already used it on conservatories/gutters etc? - or any thoughts?

Ideal if it does work as easy to get from local Halfords.  Change the container so custie doesn't know what the product is though.

It's only a 1 ltr bottle and says it cleans 40 caravans.
I'd like to know the dilution rate but seems like it will do our job fine.

Ok found this on their website

10:1 solution of cleaner will help speed up the cleaning process.

CAN I USE THE CLEANER IN A PRESSURE WASHER?
A. Yes. The dilution needs to be about 200:1 at the lance end, give the cleaner a bit of time to work before washing off.

Yes i used it for my caravan all the time.It was great at getting the green off and caked on bird mess,as where i stored my caravan they would not let you use a cover ::).
However i then used a degreasing agent from window cleaning centre in Ipswich and the results were just as good,a lot cheaper (5 ltrs for £15 approx) and diluted lasted me for a full season and many many conservatories a plastic cleans.
I have now moved over to Ecover from gardiners, under recommendation from Jeff1,as i am putting it through my jetwash...the result is even better on conservatories.I did a small one yesterday,a yearly job usually just done with the pole, and the ecover just ate through the algea with no problems...it was visibly working faster than any previous solutions that i had used.
I have noticed now that Ecover do a range of cleaning products in Morrisons,so i might get a cream cleaner from their range to get the dreaded fly poo off the sills in the summer months.

I must have used the ecover wrong and the few jobs I did as it was not working like I thought it would, I have used fenwicks great but little expensive, the patio cleaner in homebase works well imo better than the ecover and about a third of the price,

How much ecover do you use and what amount of water ? I will give it another try.

I've used Fenwick's as well. And I'd agree that it works just fine.

On the plus side, it's easily available from Halford's if you only want small quantities for a few jobs. On the minus side, it's a very expensive way of buying if you use large quantities for lots of jobs.

I use a trolley, so I have a special jerry can with the diluted product in it. It's quite safe to put through the pump, so I guess it would work in a backpack, if that's how you wanted to spray it.

I would use a hand pump sprayer, like a hose lock one, add some pole hose if you want to add it to a pole, I have converted a harris pole to apply this to roofs, soffits gutters ect.
I keep this in the van

Thanks for all your useful replies.  I think it's worth giving it a go - particularly as W the WW says - it's easily available while only small quantities needed.  Halfords is just 5 mins drive for me.
Cheers
