Pricing for a stately home
« on: February 26, 2010, 04:19:00 pm »
Hello everyone,

Just been out today to quote for a stately home, 3 buildings in total on the grounds.

The Main Hall - Around 400 panes of glass.

Business Offices - Around 174 panes of glass.

Indoor Swimming Pool - Around 230 panes of glass.

What I would like to know is how would you price up for this?  I was thinking of pricing at 25p per pane of glass, which would make it around £200.00 mark for the day.

Let me know if it is possible to get anymore than that.

Also before I finish each pane of glass measures around 1.5 * 1.5 feet.

Your replies much appreciated.

Kind regards. :)

charge a day rate based on about 6 hours work

say £200

thatd be about £400

do you think you can do it in a day ??

or 1.5 days?

Hello Sean,

I have quoted the work to be done over 2 days roughly.

Round about £460.00 in total.

Not heard back from them yet, might have to give them a courtesy call to see what they think.

What do you think?

Kind regards.

I do two stately homes and charge 270 for one and 300 for the other both take about eight hours but you know all about it if you knock them out in a day. hurts like hell, but can be done.
Don't know what system you have but dont forget to let the van run for 20 mins every couple of hours good excuse to have a break.
just keep to an honest price
