Problem Glass
« on: March 15, 2010, 09:59:18 pm »
I have a new job on tomorrow the customer has had 3 new window panes replaced, but there is some sort of baked on white residue on the glass,if you scrape it with your finger nail it slowly comes of. What i was going to try is white spirit first if that doesn't work what about methylated spirits?? any ideas? Thanks

Hello Steve,

Try this stuff, it should work if used correctly.  Link below;

http://www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk/shop/soap/titan-mineral-deposit-remover.html.

or if that doesn't work try this stuff.  See other link below;

http://www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk/shop/soap/sorbo-hard-water-remover.html.

Hope the above helps!

Kind regards.

If it is silicone, try using distilled meths, it works a treat.
