Wfp have been around for almost 50 years, yet it is still classed a "NEW" cleaning method, what is the right age for it to be accepted.
as with most tenders that come up, the price quoted is to the company who feels they are going to make a profit, you will of course get the big boys who will quote low on one sector of the contract so they can get it, because they then make their money and profit on other parts.
H & S is becoming more apparent, mainly because the goverment both here and abroad, as well as unions want their workers to be as safe as possible in their working envioroments.
You also have the claims culture, where an accident is a thing of the past, an accident does not happen anymore, instead someone is liable and they should be made to pay compensation.
The window cleaning industry has changed quite a lot over the last 100 years and before wfp the last major change was the developement of the squeegie.
But now wfp has hit the industry like a train wreck, there has been uproar of it use and most window cleaners have been frightened that their livlihood is about to come to an end,.
This is not the case, in fact wfp, is dragging our industry into the 21st century, instead of people saying looking down their noses and saying "oh you just a window cleaner" because they percieved that it a low paying job.
Nowadays window cleaners earn more than bank managers, and the industry is becoming more attractive to someone looking for a lifetime career.
If I was you I would look into wfp, because it is faster than ladder work, especially on commercial properties, and speed not H & S will have more of an impact on a tenders price.
