DLR Window Cleaning
« on: March 04, 2010, 08:30:01 pm »
Does anyone know DLR window cleaning in Essex? I clean a house in Thaxted have been doing it for 6 years, cleaned it yesterday, custy wasnt home so i left a slip. I got a call later that evening from her saying she was confused by the 2 window cleaning slips left in here letter box, my one and another one from DLR window cleaning saying that they had cleaned here windows and that could they send a cheque for £45, i charge her £24.

They had actually cleaned the front of the house because the window were clean, but the back hadnt been touched.

I dont know if  DLR window cleaning had clean them by mistake, or wether he was a bit of a chancer trying to get some extra money.

Anyone else had this?

I have cleaned the wrong house before(well on or two windows on adjacent properties), but realised what I have done, and never tried to charge for it. Allot of people ask me to clean there windows and seem surprised when I ask them to be in, "don't you just clean them anyway","err no you don't know the price and until you agree to it I cant charge you for any work carried out".

I have heard competitors doing the front only and missing the backs loads of times, sometimes I think its the custies misunderstanding and maybe missed due to a locked gate or something. But again I am sure there are plenty of plain chancer's as well.
