Take apart, rinse each section out with water, give a good wipe, put back together. ;)

Wipe hose after every job with a cloth.

Just do your best to avoid getting dirt/grit up in the pole from the hose, you'll need to dismantle it less then. ;)

Yes, avoid block paved drives and sand and grit if you can.

on the slx would it be better to have the inner hosing on the outside to add to the poles longevity?

Someone on here has done that but I haven't tried it personally. I think the hose would get in my way.

I posted a topic concerning this problem last year

http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=81646.0

Alex did take back my pole and he did replace one section and cleaned the others, but the problem of it still sticking was no cured.

I have many different poles, from various suppiers and the slx is the only one that jams.

What I have found to get the best use out of this pole is

1  Run the pole hose on the outside if possible, this will give you up to a month of usage, before you have to take it apart and clean it.

2  At the end of each section there is a yellow and red band, remove this, because parts of it do come off with use, and jam they the poles together.

3  If you want the pole hose to go though the poles then you will have to strip the poles down evey week and clean them.

The best method I have found is, I take all the poles apart and clean the outsides first in the bath, I then pour loads of water down the insides of the poles, I them draw a cloth which is attached to a piece of cord though the poles, this is the same method used when cleaning rifles.

You will find that the pole will work ok for the next week.
