Not been on for ages, mind you with that devastating winter we've just had not worked much for ages an all .
My batteries only last for a short time now , so there obviously knacked, got talking to a guy at the local mobility shop and he suggested thier scooter batteries, 12v with a 12amp output, now me i'm a bit thick about that type of thing but i wonder if any of you lot can cast some light on it ?.

Yes you can use them.

Infact you can use a car battery, leisure battery.

The mobility batteries probably if he has old stock laying about might even give then free of charge. Some are ok some will be knackered.

Don't see why head office would hold on to them, they're no good once they start to run down, not enough power to run the motors so they have to get rid.

I went to a local mobility outlet and they gave me loads.  Tried them all and took the duff ones to the tip, still have three that are good for a full day's work between charges.

I wouldn't of thought 12aph would be big enough for a van mount system.
I have an 85aph, and quite a few on here use 110a

pop along to your local trading estate, ask around at the garages for the old car batteries, they might not have enough ommpph to start a car time and time again, but they will do the job for us

grab a few of them, you will strike lucky and geta good battery and its free and the ultimate in recyleing

I don't think lovewindows means 12ah - that wouldn't run a torch   He's talking about the amperage the scooter motor draws.  These batteries are usually about 35-50ah
