Safe Contractor Scheme
« on: February 15, 2010, 05:35:11 pm »
Hi all.

I know there is at least one regular poster on this site who has signed up to this scheme, and became accredited, no doubt more than one. My questions to you are:

1: Have you noticed any increase in commercial clients as a result of being accredited to this scheme?

2: What sort of things are covered in the questionaire they send out to you and is it a long, drawn out process?

3: Now you've taken the trouble to go through this process would you say it was money / time well spent or is it just a bit of a gimmick?

Having read their website it does seem a worthwhile scheme to become involved with; if it were to help me win just the one extra major contract it would be money well spent; I would just like some input and advice from those of you who have already been through the whole process before I part with my hard earned cash.

Many thanks.  ;D

I am SAFEcontractor and to be perfectly honest, i will not be renewing when my membership expires, after being a member for the past few years.

Loads of paperwork & annual subscription has NEVER brought me any work.

So rather than give money to them for nothing, i will save it next time round.

However,

it may work for others, just because it hasn't worked for me.
