I lost my first job to the "recession" cutbacks yesterday.

It was only a £10 pub front and makes no difference to me at all, but I've done it every month for 13 years or so now and it's a shame to see it go. 
Apparently he needs to cut spending.

Anyone else lost any to cutbacks?

Never had nothing but hassle from pubs, i tend to stay well clear.

Talking about reccession cutbacks, we are 70% up on this time last year, not bad in a reccession.

I have lost a few owing to customers losing their jobs, I lost one the other day, and the guy was an I.T. consultant, he said he would be in touch if his circumstances improved.
What can you do?

I've lost one or two but in the main I'm snowed under. It's got so bad that customers are greeting me with "Hello stranger" or "Have you been ill?" Going to lose some later no doubt, but the work just keeps coming and coming.

I've lost a few and expect to lose more. Most of my customers are retired so I tend to lose more to the grim reaper than to the recession. Companies and shops are closing everywhere round here.

i stopped drinking 3 years ago tosh and half the pubs round here have gone to the wall!!!

Over the past 18 months lost around £600 a month due to people cutting back, works out at around £7000 a year. Good job i have picked up around £900 a month in new work

over past 12 months i have lost £200 a month but i have picked far more and have not really noticed the loss
