landline number without a landline??

HI,I have read something on here about being able to have a local landline number without having a landline,The calls get diverted to you mobile.Is this right,and if so where do i get this service from as i currently have no landline

I looked on your site andy,i have not got broadband,only mobile broadband through a dongle,so no where to plug adaptor in

I simply read this forum. Huge amount of interesting and usefull practice knowleges and opinions, indeed. I have read it twice from the start couple of years ago.

you can a freephone no to your mobile for about 10.00 a month

I was thinking a local landline would encourage more customers to ring,I got an advert going out on local radio next week and was thinking people will remember a local number easier than a long mobile on

you can get an 0800 number to mobile for £99 one-off payment and 0.00 a MONTH

i also use sipgate, just like a mobile top up service,but with a local landline code and number,  local and uk landlines are free, world wide land lines also only pennys to call, just try and avoid calling mobile numbers from it though, best thing i ever did
