Bonnet Pads
« on: January 22, 2010, 11:06:51 am »
Hi ,
need to buy some bonnet pads, any ideas as to the best place to buy from. I know i can get pads direct from prochem but they look a little expensive to me.
Cheers.
Ben.

I use ones with a green strip  most , for heavier soilng I use the ones with a Brown strip which is rougher, I call these "grinders". The pads to me are not what makes the difference,  very thorough prevaccing, chems, brushed in with hi-speed brush, and all the stains are dissolved ready for the pad to wipe up , and spread the dirt around.

Used the green ones often but never come across the brown strip. I had a Tex' system and their pads were pretty good but it's claimed the thinner 100% cotton pads are best

We do alot of work using the bonnet system.  The best ones ive ever used are the Charley Pads Alltech sell them, Yes they are expensive but they are the best we have used.  The prochem pads are again abit expensive but are good. The micro fibre pads are crap.

I been using cotton towels, just fold in the corners. with the big towels I fold them in half so  one towel will be equivalent to 4 pads. these do a great job

Get yourself a Miele washing machine, you could wash a car engine in one of those and it wouldn't even break a sweat.
They are expensive to buy (unless you get a bargain off ebay) but in the long run they will save a fortune on laundrette costs.

Quiet too!
