On Tuesday a good friend of ours collapsed at home and died in his wife`s arms.
Although he was in his 60`s he had such a " young " personality so it has been a bit of a shock.
His devastated wife is staying with her daughter and she asked me to clean the carpet where he laid. ( she has not been able to face going back to the house yet )
With a heavy heart I cleaned the carpet today, including the spots of blood where he hit his head on the way down.
Their house is full of happy family photos of their Daughters and grandchildren and I usually like my job but this one was very hard and I am not ashamed to admit I shed a tear as I worked.
Very sad.

It must have been difficult for you doing that.

Brings home the fact that life is very short, that it can change at any time, and we need to cherish what we have whilst we can.

Some may say that a man crying is a sign of weakness. No such thing. It shows you care.

I am sure all of us on this forum would like you to pass on our sympathies to your friend.

How nice that the lady knew you at this time, as to her it won't be an intrusion of her property. How nice for you that at this sad time, you have been able to help out a friend....hope that has come out right but you know what I mean.

so sad but is'nt that a lesson for all of us? grab life and live it, today might be the last one, must have been difficult for you fenman and best wishes to the poor mans wife,
