Stephen s can you help re thermo pure
« on: December 31, 2009, 05:52:22 pm »
Apparently you can help as you have ionics thermopure!

My system is so hot it keeps breaking glass have you had this problem, or is it just because it is exceptionally cold recently. i have only had the system for about a month and am finding it very stressful!

Oh and have had 3 hoses split in this time, thermo hoses!

We run 4 thermopures at the moment and have been running thermopure since 2003

We were working in -12 degrees on Monday without a problem.

I have broken 2 windows in my time, they were both wooden framed windows. Turns out on first one that window manufacturer used nails to hold the glass in. The heat caused the nails to expand rapidly cracking the glass. On the other one the paint had all flaked off and we reckon the frame warped cracking the glass.

We soon learned to be cautious with these windows. Also be careful when doing a window in an unheated building.

TIP: Quick and easy way to drop the temp on a thermopure? Link the hot and cold pumps together using a splitter. You can them vary the temp by turning the pump controllers to whatever you want.

I was thinking of getting a Thermopure but all I hear about is broken panes so am  thinking twice, for the money you pay for these units would I end up paying more for replacing glass on peoples windows ???

Slash.

We clean 10,000 windows per week and have only had 2 cracked panes in 4 years.

Even then, we were able to establish that the breakage was down to faulty windows.

We have not had to pay out anything so far.

phone ironics

you pay over the odd's for a system, the reason you pay that money is because they should offer a customer service

get them to earn the money they have taken off you

god I'm tired  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

now to last years question

Ive never actually broken a window with the thermapure system  but I have noticed on certain thin type glass that you can hear the glass making strange noises which sounded like it was about to pop so I'm wary of that type of glass and just use cold water.

sounds like a heating problem so you really need to contact Ionics mate

where are you based ?

thanks to you all! So do you ever use it on winter setting as it comes out bloody hot, i broke a normal double glazed window on cold day on winter setting, the guy who replaced it said it would have been waitin g to happen due to faulty fitting but how do you know if a window is wrongly fitted! AGGG
