CONNECTING 1/2 INCH HOSE TO DI
« on: December 26, 2009, 06:48:47 pm »
The current set-up I have is normal hozelock connections to and from DI for 1/2 inch hose.  Is there a bnetter quality connection in Metal?? connections I can use but still with quick release??   Or is only option plastic hozelock to connect 1/2 inch to and from DI??

Cheers

Just seen these connectors half way down the page.  NITO. Am I right in thinking these will do exactly the job of hoselock so will connect 1/2 inch hose to and from DI BUT also have the option of quick release like hose lock???

Presume leaks will be reduced as well??

Do you think these are worth the extra money?

just beware if you put metal connectors on and you drop it the plastic di head will be more likely to break wheras the plastic bit breaks when you use plastic connectors.

much cheaper to replace a connector

do you think the metalsare better though (less leaks) - assuming you don't drop the di head.

Replacing the rubber o rings on the male connectors should stop any leaks, also take the males out & ptfe them.

joe thats my point if you fit metal one yes they wont break but that only leaves the plastic di head to break as the next weakest part in the chain. at least if you break the plastic male connector it can be replaced for a couple of quid
