Paul, I think the 28th is a Bank Holiday (Public Holiday?), so it might be best avoiding residential work on that day.

I see what you mean Tosh but as it's a lieu day rather than a "proper" boxing day, I will work and just not start before 10 in case they are having a lie-in.  I have a cafe to clean first thing anyway so that will occupy most of the time up till about 9.30.  See.  the cafe is open.  They still want their regular service (in and out).  I did a fair bit of Xmas Eve too.  Some people were surprised to see me but they were, without exception, pleased that I made the effort even with ice still around .

dont take any notice of steven s.i think he just likes to stir it a bit!! ;D ;D.i also enjoy time with family and friends.ive had 2 full days of it! ;)but working 5-6 hours tues/wed is hardly working all over xmas!still plenty of time for girlfriend/friends etc.it gives us a break from family and works off some of the festive over-indulgence!!with all the half days/days off due to weather we need to keep ticking over and at least cover our bills!.youll feel better as well for the fresh air.the enforced family time, too much food and festering in front of the tv soon wears me down and i need an escape!going to work does it for me then i can take girlfriend out for a top meal/cinema etc.dont be too pre occupied with what u think ur custys will think.as youll find ur often wrong!any "not todays" just skip them till next time.

I'm inclined to agree with you that he's just having a wind-up  :) .
Ironically, he speaks of getting a GF.  Ironic because the debt incurred when I had a particular GF is part of the reason I don't take much time off.
I must get a life
I must get a life
I must get a life....

Why have a pop at Stephen s? i think he is right, i would be very angry if a window cleaner turned up to clean over the xmas holiday.Just because he has an opinion people jump on it. Fair play to him, run him off he was properly a burglar at work at that time of year. ;)
