xtel/unger? cleaning spot
« on: December 10, 2009, 04:02:42 pm »
Does anyone know if these companies are one and the same?

I ordered a pole from cleaning spot, a grey gxtel, and today a green unger looking pole arrived? I called CS and the guy said they were supplied by unger and painted green or orange, they had no grey in stock? I smell a bit of cowmuck???

Or is he correct

As I understand the same company make the gxtel and the unger poles so there should be no difference except the colour.

Other than the colour, they are EXACTLY the same pole.

Unger just ordered them from exel in green.

BUT another difference you may notice is that the unger poles are MASSIVELY more expensive than the exel poles!!  (WHY? Because unger doesnt sell direct to window cleaners, they sell only through distributors, who need to take a cut)

Result : Unger poles=rip off

And personally i do not like poles in the unger green.  They look...strange.

I know what you're saying about the green...something not right.  :-\

I have checked the pole against my other xtel and they look similar. The clamps are identical which leads me to think, along with the previous comments, that CS were correct!  :o

I also specified the new yellow pole hose, it is braided, which is new to me in pole hose?

Of course, now I have the pole and parted with my cash, Brodex have just text me with a great offer. 3 hydra poles for £195...24ft..18ft & 7ft all complete ready to use!

Do I return the xtel????? I'm tempted!
