I stripped the pump and rebuilt it with new stator, bearings and seals, but one half of the casing has a chip out of it resulting in the seal failing to seat properly.

It's a little further to Indy from here..............maybe around 8 hours by plane.

The machine in the 'photos looks like their latest with direct drive which is a blessing, hope they've also gone onto sealed bearings !!!

   Mike,

I have thought about changing out the pump to a higher PSI many times, but I worry about not having the amount of vac required to extract the addition water being laid down by the pump, as not only does the PSI go up, but so does the amount of water you put out on the carpet. The system is very well balanced, and my dry times are pretty good with some air movement. I would never tackle commercial resturant carpet...........but for the my business focus (upscale residential) is does very well.

  Robert,

This unit is about 5 years old, but I understand now even the units with removable tank on wheels are direct dive, no more belts. All their units now come with an electric preheater as well. It's all piped direct up by the pump.
