A rotary can be used to agitate and also to post bonnet a carpet after HWE to remove more dirt and moisture and even out the finish.

Bonnett Cleaning involves prespraying the carpet and cleaning it with a bonnetting pad on the rotary.  The pad is flipped and changed every 100-500sqft depending upon conditions.  It is usually a maintainence method.

Texatherm and dry Fusion are regarded as 'new technology' in bonnett cleaning and are excellant on low profile carpet.  I have Texatherm.

Charlie Pads - not sure where they stand as I've not tryed them yet but am getting some next week.  I hope they will be everybit as good as texatherm but quicker with less pads to wash.

IMO every carpet cleaner needs a rotary especially if doing any amount of low profile carpets.  They can also be used for hardfloor cleaning.

Rotaries can be picked up secondhand for good money.

Shaun

I’m lending a set of charily tomorrow so the person can do a demo I will explain how I use them, I like them and they do the job for me! But it may not be every ones cup of tea, the cleaning game is always down to individual perception be it customer or operator.

I borrow a slow machine as and when needed as I only have 400rpm and above. Ian correct! Need to get a slow one for carpets.

I know you list Tex' and D'Fus, but bonnet cleaning has been around since the 1940's and the originators are still in business.
