Is it possible to get the NCCA exam done by post as I'd be interested in doing it if it's just a theory exam.

Why not take the course Neil?

When I did it 2 years ago there was 24 of us, half were newbies, some without machines, and the others were experianced guys, a couple with more then 20 years under their belt. Its not just the course content but also the interchange between the course attendees that you gain a lot.
Instructors are Paul Pearce and Pawlo Woloszyn, 2 very experianced guys who are carpet cleaners by right.

January is normally quiet for c/c and NCCA have a course towards end of Jan so would be ideal.

I agree stringly with Joe, you will gain a lot from talking to others on the course, and of course have the chance to as questions.

I did the NCCA course back in Nov last year and it scared the crap out of me all the things that could go wrong, it did not give me confidence, i am cautious by nature so in that respect it left me thinking is this for me, regarding Paul Pearce he was very helpful and a nice guy but felt he was steering me towards the Alltec machine when i noted the weight of the Alltec being heavier than the Ninja he said "i dont think so" when it was obvious as both machines were in the room i ended up with the Ninja not because i did not like Alltec Robert Saunders knows a great deal about customer satisfaction and could teach Martin Ashby a great deal im still waiting for my freebie from Ashbys ) i suppose as i have only spent about £3000 i will have to wait a bit longer ::)

I hope, Jim, that someone from NCCA is looking at your comments because, as I see it,  the NCCA course is supposed to be impartial as to suppliers, and its not the first time I have heard the comment re Alltec having a larger presence.
