Can you change mobile phone networks but keep same number?

Contract for my mobile is due to run out December with 02 just wondered if you knew to keep my telephone number do I have to stay with 02? want to try & get a good deal I need unlimited texts & 600+ minutes per month if anyone knows of any deals?

Not sure if its the same with contract but certainly PAYG I have changed numbers to a different network.
You need to get a PAC code from your existing network to pass on to the one your switching to.

Yes done it a few times ,, just get a "pac" code , and you are away , ,your existing provider will put you through to a win back team , who will offer you all sorts to try and keep you as a customer .

Yes tou can change betworks whilst keeping your phone number even on contracts.
You need to apply to your current network for a security number (can't remeber what the correct name is for this).
At this point your current provider pulls out all the stops to try and get you to stay with them ;D
Some years ago I changed from Vodaphone to Three and a wonderful 'auction' broke out on who could give you the most!!!!

Yup sure can, if you guys have a service that carries iphones, make sure you get the iphone 3GS! Best business phone ever!
