Do they have set prices or is this offer off a 'personal' quotation?

Careful, advertise offers for January and you'll kill off all your work for December.

We are lucky in Aus that our christmas is at summer time so we are busy right though but also lucky in winter as on average we do about 80% of the amount of the summer work without all the need of specials unless you call a free bottle of 10 pound spot cleaner
The right way first time every time

Its all about they want all there furnishings and carpets looking nice and clean :)

Thankfully i have never had to do an offer for this time of year :)

The idea is to book them in for the Oven Clean in January (After they've cooked Crimbo Dinner) so I'm not sat around doing nothing :D

Hopefully, but everyone will be skint mate! lol honest.

Dash, Was it a leaflet through the door? or a letter posted out?

Damn those Chempoopes! they are clever. Wonder if its head office that tell the monkeys to post these things out and when or if its directly from head office.

I just love being quiet in january. Chance to recover after the madness of December. Can get so much admin done and also have long lie-ins.

I don't know what the ChemDry franchises do on pricing but their managed network (Homeserve ChemDry untill they change the name) have run these offeres for ages but the core prices are very high.  On the "get your suite cleaned and we will clean your lounge carpet for free", the per seat price is £40 with protection extra.  Most of their offers follow this principle.

do you think ford would worry if rolls royce were doing a BOGOF on there latest model.

i never worry about the franchises. or any other competitor to be honest, i charge what i need to and if i don't get the work then i'll do something else rather than cut my prices and not make a living.

Well i have to say, i was wondering. Its like that company who claim to give you the windows for the back of the house 'free' when you get the front done.

The tragedy is that many people do truely think they are getting something for nowt  :-\

You've got to hand it to them really, but big players in ours (ChemDry, Servicemaster, Ovenu) and a host of other industries (Everest, Moben etc) will always have a following and seem to be trusted. When we wanted a new bathroom fitted, the first people we went to was "Dolphin" £13k for them to fit a bath, sink and kahzee, no tiling included cos they said they didn't do it... Did we pay? Did we hell, but I reckon if we had more money than sense, we would have.... ::)

Let 'em have it I say, there's enough work out there for every one of us and maybe we should concentrate on how we're doing instead of worrying about other C/C's, independant or otherwise!
