500 GPD RO
« on: October 15, 2009, 09:17:10 am »
I have recently upgraded my 200GPD RO to a 500GPD.
I installed a 135psi 24v booster pump, I am now producing water at a ratio of 70% PURE to 30% Waste.
This is from our own calculations, our tap water has a TDS of 368 and when I checked the waste the TDS of that was 715.
Anyone else find this when using a booster pump?

Currently sitting idle in the van.
Wish I had the space for an IBC tank.

Put the RO in your shed, then you'll have more room for a tank in the van

Not sure off Craig as I had the wrong pump and he upgraded with no extra cost.
I think about the £120 mark, I tried the shurflo pump and it wasn't very good.
I have asked around last week about booster pumps and I am sure the same spec somewhere else was about £200
It comes with its own transformer and mains cable.

135psi is that working pressure or max?

my system has 2xbooster pumps with transformers 100psi working/145psi max

http://www.johnhewitt.com/ro.htm

they are a bit dearer now than what i paid earlier this year but £285 is decent value.
